Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Elmore, 84, of Wilkesboro, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Tommy was born on May 10, 1933 to the late Herman Elmore and Sterlie Cockerham Elmore in Wilkes County.
Tommy worked with Century Link for 42 years.
Tommy also enjoyed fishing and music.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents; Sons, Ronnie Elmore, Eddie Elmore and Dennis Elmore; Brothers, Paul Elmore, Joe Elmore, and Sister, Francis Lloyd.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Patricia Elmore of the home; sister in law, Betty Elmore of Newport News, Virginia; Nephew, Michael Elmore of Newport News, Virginia; Nieces, Tammy Elmore and Beth Lloyd both of Newport News, Virginia.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Eshcol United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1820 Edgewood Road, Wilkesboro. Rev. Ronnie Millsaps and Rev. Tim Pruitt will be officiating.
Funeral Rites will be conducted by both the Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard Post 1142 and Liberty Masonic Lodge 45.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
