Funeral services celebrating the life of Doris Marie Grantham Rogers will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Dr. Clark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Butters Cemetery, Forest Hill.
 
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
 
Pallbearers will be Robert Alston, Jimmy Alston, John Jewell, James Camp, Reece Camp and Brian Bordelon.
  
Mrs. Rogers, 87, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Colfax Reunion Nursing Home.
 
Mrs. Rogers was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. During her working career, she worked for Central State Hospital retiring after 20 years of service. Doris was an avid quilter and enjoyed Cajun music, listening to old country music on KRRV and cooking fresh vegetables grown in her garden. She loved her family and her faithful canine Jolie. She will be missed but her memory will be cherished forever.  
 
Her parents, James Monroe Grantham, Sr. and Era Mathis Grantham; brothers, James M. Grantham, Jr., Fred Grantham, Dewey Grantham, John T. Grantham and Alfred Grantham; sisters, Era Alston, Billie Rae Hoffman and Betty Ann Ackerman and daughter-in-law, Cindy Rogers, preceded her in death.
 
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Vivian Rogers Hallsworth (Alexander) of Alexandria; sons, James Allen Rogers of Mt. Home, AR and Roy Dale Rogers (Bobbie) of Tioga; sisters, Mary Wagner and Eva Jeanette Kalmerus (Leo) of Springville, MO; grandchildren, Justin Rogers, Travis Rogers, Alexandra Hallsworth and Jamie Rogers (Andy Tillman); great grandchildren, Kane Tillman, Cyrus Tillman and Archer Tillman; a host of other family members and friends.
