LUSTY, John Wayne, age 62 of 708 SE 11. He had been employed as maintenance man for Garrett & Company for 29 years, and was known as Honest John or Big John. He had lived in OKC all his life. He was married to Elizabeth Williams Sept. 24, 1945 in Alabama. He was honorably discharged from the 508th Parachute Infantry Div., serving in the Central Europe Campaign in WWII. He was a member of Spring Baptist Church, Sasakwa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Lusty Fixico in Dec. 1986. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of the Home; 3 sons, Richard, Leonard and Joney Joe Lusty, all of OKC; daughter, Ethleen Harjo of Wewoka; mother, Bapsey Hawkins of Wewoka; 2 brothers, Alfred Lusty of Sasakwa and Tommy Hawkins of Wewoka; and 15 grandchildren. Prayer services will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Hunter Memory Chapel, OKC. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm. Monday at Spring Baptist Church, Sasakwa, with burial in Hawkins Cemetery in Wewoka, with Rev. George Jess officiating, assisted by Rev. Billy Joe Harjo, under the direction of Hunter Funeral Home, 2427 S. Harvey.
