Frances Smedley Layton "Frankie", age 92, passed away Sat., May 19, 2007 in Bountiful, Utah. Born June 15, 1914 in Bountiful, Utah to Frances B. and Rachel Pace Smedley. Married Stanley W. Layton July 1, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints residing in the Bountiful 1st Ward where she served in many church positions. She started working at her father's furniture store at the age of 16. She worked at Lakerwood's Furniture, formally Union Furniture, for 60 years, retiring at age 75. She and her eternal companion Stan were life long Ute fans. She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Jim) Huffman and son David (Kathy) Layton, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren (almost 13). Preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven sisters and a granddaughter Jimilyn Huffman. The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Barton Creek and South Davis Hospice for their wonderful love and care.
