Larry Joe Hodges was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born December 22, 1947 in Stroud, Oklahoma, the son of William Stewart Hodges, Sr. and Tochie (Durden) Hodges.


Larry joined the U.S. Marines and served his country in Vietnam. After his military service he worked as an aircraft electrician at Tinker AFB and the FAA. He was a master at the craft of woodworking and enjoyed playing golf. He especially loved deer hunting and fishing with his son and grandchildren. He was crazy about his dogs and they were his constant companions.


He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, William Stewart Hodges, Jr.; and 1 nephew Brian Hodges.


Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Janis (Keenan) Hodges of the home; children, Tracy and her husband Steve Culwell; Brent Hodges and his wife Jennifer; and Jason Hensley and his wife Christa; grandchildren, Blake and his wife Somer Culwell; Heather and her husband Laban Evans; Austin Culwell and his fiance' Bobbi; Amber and her husband Colton Glover; Ashlynn and her husband Garrett Cox; Abbie-Grace Culwell; Kodi Hodges; Kaylin Hodges; and Kasyn Hensley; great-grandchildren, Londynn Cox and Maisynn Cox; siblings, Lucian and his wife Connie Hodges; Steve Hodges; and Sammy and his wife Saundra Hodges; and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, 5005 SE 29th St., Del City, Oklahoma, 73115 with burial following Military Honors being rendered by a U. S. Marine Corp Honors Detail at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Norman, Oklahoma.
