She was born Sept. 9, 1897, in the town of Edson to Bertha (Scott) and John Goshaw. She grew up in Stanley. She was employed at the Hotel Northern in Chippewa Falls for 50 years until her retirement. She had been a resident of Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation since 1995.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Cheri Lanik and Steve Skaar, both of Colorado.; five great-grandchildren, Samuel, Chenoa, Quillen, Kelsey and Trevor; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Wilbur A. Skaar; and four sisters, Lizzie Goshaw, Evelyn Henneman, Rueman Panseik, and Elaine Lindberg.
