Travelers Rest
Minnie Lou Hawkins of 256 Center Road passed away July 11, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital of an illness.
Mrs. Hawkins was born March 6, 1936, to Annie Lou Raines and the late Gerrard Hendrix. She was a retiree of M-Tex after 23 years and a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are one bother, Zane Hendrix and his wife, Susan of Pickens; a sister, Mae Gurgans of Greenville, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Glenda Hendrix of Greenville; sons, Tony Hawkins and his wife, Sherri, of Greenville, Randy Hawkins and his wife, Carla, Timothy Hawkins, Mark Hawkins and his wife, Angie, Teddy Hawkins, Eddie Hawkins and his wife, Tracy, all of Travelers Rest; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Hendrix.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tyger Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is at the residence.
