Anna was the daughter of Lars and Caroline Smith. At the age of two she moved with her parents to Newell. She was united in marriage to Clarence J. Timke June 11, 1924. In December, 1935 they adopted a daughter, Naomi and in June 1941 they adopted a son, Jack.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Peter who was killed in France in World War I.
She was survived by her husband, son and daughter and a sister Mattie Smith and a brother, Hans.
