Ford, Dale Allen July 15, 1945 , Dec. 21, 2016. Dale went to be with the Lord after fighting a three year battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. He was born to Leo J Ford and Jerry Jack Hoffman Ford, in Guthrie Oklahoma he grew up in Ardmore and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and in Hawthorne, California. Dale served in the US Air Force from 1962 - 1966. He was assigned to Protocol where he enjoyed driving generals through the Rocky Mountains and having lunch with President John F. Kennedy during a visit to the base. Dale met his wife Alice, November 21, 1971 during a worship Service one Sunday night. They married four months and four days later. Dale had two daughters, Cheryl Lynn and Shelly Jeanette. He and Alice were foster parents 25 years to many precious children and they adopted their son Ronnie Allen in November 1992. Dale accepted Jesus Christ into his life November 21, 1971 He loved the Lord and led others to his Lord, as he had the opportunity. Dale loved law enforcementand worked for Pinkertons as an undercover investigator several years. He worked for Midwest City Police Department from 1972 -1992. Through those years he worked as a Jailer, Patrol Officer, K-9 officer with his dog Charlie, Drug Enforcement Officer with his partners Regina and Juan, and Field Training Officer. After he retired he worked several off-duty police jobs. He also worked as Chief of Corrections at Carver Correctional Center. Dale published his memories woven with a fiction story in his book, "Inconceivable Danger". He loved his work until his health began to diminish. Dale loved his yearly hunting trip with his brother Buzz and he loved taking his family on camping trips. Dale loved his family and is survived by his wife, Alice; their children, Cheryl Harris (Ricky Richardson), Shelly Langan (Debo Langan), and Ronnie Ford (Sunny Lieb). Dale had six grandchildren who he loved dearly and enjoyed every minute of his time making them laugh and giving them lots of treats: Ashley Whitney, Coleman, Trinity, and Mason Langan, Cheyenne and Ryland Ford.He is also survived by his brother: Roy Ford (Buzz), sisters: Sheila Harris, Diana Boatman, and Beverly Cotton. Several in-laws: Sue Barnhart, Mickey Ford, Kathy Ford, Ken & Barbara Autry, Jack & Patty Gil, Ector Wayne & Jo Barnhart, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dale also enjoyed his many visits from his nephew Chance Ford and his family Shawn, Aliza, Brooke, and Shelby Ford. Preceding him in death are his parents Leo and Jerry Ford, two brothers James and Gerald Ford , one niece Melody Tucker, two nephews John Autry and Blake Ford. Father in law, Raymond J Barnhart. Services January 21, 2017 Dale will be buried at Hilltop Cemetery, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
