Pauline Currie Johnston, 89, of Waycross died Friday night (Feb. 23, 2007) at Baptist Village after an extended illness. She was born in Telfair County, GA to the late Duncan Currie and Pauline Myrtice Sanders and has lived in Waycross since 2000. Before moving to Waycross she made her home in the Orlando, FL area for many years where she worked for Winn-Dixie and as a CNA at a nursing home. Ms. Johnston was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Johnston and one daughter, Ollie Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Sharpe, Waycross, Peggy Thorne (Larry), Minor Hill, TN, eleven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Telmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
