HUGHES Debbie Lynne Passed away with loved ones by her side on March 14, 2009 after a long courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 53. Predeceased by her father and mother, Edward and Jean Wallin, and sister Shirley Van Geest. Survived by her loving husband Richard; daughter Dana; sons Curtis (Jen) and Brent; brother Terry (Sheryl); and sister Arlene. Debbie had the courage, strength, and will to rise above her pain and suffering to enjoy each and every day to the fullest with a great faith in God. She had the ability to enjoy all the pleasures of life and taught her children great family values by being a fantastic role model as a mother, wife, friend, and sister. People gravitated towards Debbie, whether she knew them or not. She had an enjoyable presence, was always positive, and had an infectious smile. Debbie passed away with grace, dignity, and class, the same way she lived her life. A special thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and friends that helped care for her and her family in their times of great need. Everyone that knew and loved her will miss her greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 21st at the Coquitlam Alliance Church, 2601 Spuraway Ave., Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation in memory of Debbie.

Debbie Lynne Hughes (nee Wallin)August 17, 1955 - March 14, 2009 People may forget what you said People may forget what you did, but People will never forget the way you made them feel. We lost a beautiful wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. That day God gained an exceptional angel and heaven has another star shining brightly. Our world has changed so much without you. Thoroughly missed by family and friends. Love Rich and the kids. 4Ever.
