Mrs. Shirley Isabel Hucks, 67, of 2391 Whitehorn Drive died March 22, 2001, at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Archdale.
She was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Danville, Pa., a daughter of Samuel Arthur and Pearl Frances Nuss. She was a 1952 Graduate of Danville High School in Danville , Pa. She retired from Food Lion Inc. She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church in High Point and a member of the Hilda Neill Sunday School Class. On Jan. 28, 1975, she was married to Aaron S. Huck, who survives of the residence.
Also surviving are a daughter Carla Raye Maize of Riverside Pa.; two sons, David Eckroth of Deland Fla., and Mike Eckroth of Duncan S.C.; three stepsons, Bob Hucks of High Point, Harold Hucks of Atlanta and Mark Hucks of Archdale; her mother Pearl Nuss of Pennsylvania; a brother Jim Nuss of Danville, Pa.; two sisters Jean Nuss and Mary Welliver , both of Pennslyvania; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point, by the Rev. Gene Phillips. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
