Patsy Ann Malone Foster (birth name Anna Madaline Wray) was born on March 3, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Mary Garnett Kennedy Wray and Norman Ellis Wray.

On July 21, 1931, Patsy and her three brothers and one sister were given to the Board of Childrens Guardian for care and custody. She went to live with Patrick and Marie Malone January 1932 and was adopted by the Malones in June 1937 and given the name Patsy Ann Malone. They lived in Anderson, Lapel, Sheridan and Lipton, Indiana. She later lived with a family at Pendleton, Indiana and then came to Sioux Falls in February 1941. She went to Washington High School for the rest of her sophomore year and also her junior and senior year.

Patsy met Jack Foster at Fenns Brothers in the ice cream department November 1945 where they both worked. They were united in marriage on January 18,1946 and had five children.

They moved to Seattle September 1969 and back to Sioux Falls August 1985.

Patsy loved working in her vegetable garden and planting flowers in the spring. She also enjoyed working on word puzzles. She loved animals and had numerous pets over the years. Her last remaining pet, a cockatiel named Corky, is 28 years old.

Patsy was 92 years, 3 months and 17 days. Grateful for having shared her life are sons Douglas (Rose), Roger (Luann) both of Sioux Falls; James, Hanford, California, and daughter Glenda, Sioux Falls; six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Linda Foster, granddaughter Sandy Foster, parents Mary and Norman Wray, brothers Russell Wray, Norman Wray, Raymond Wray and sister Norma Viles.
