Candace K. Robinson, 65, of Manistique (Boot Lake), Michigan passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2017 at her home in Hiawatha Township.
She was born March 8, 1952 in Manistique, Michigan the daughter of Norman and Ella (Prezsnar) Rochefort. She attended school in Garden and graduated from Big Bay de Noc High School with the Class of 1970.
On October 27, 1976, the former Candace K. Rochefort married Douglas R. Robinson in Marquette, Michigan. They made their home and raised their family in Manistique.
Candi was employed as a hotel manager for many years.
She enjoyed sunshine and the many winters spent in Florida with Doug. She especially enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. She was very fond of her children and grandchildren. Most importantly, she loved her family very much.
Candi is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Robinson of Manistique; daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Baker of Manistique and Amanda Weber (Greg Ellison) of Kalkaska, MI; grandchildren, Mat, Emily, Dominick and Addison; her brothers, Barry (Bonnie) Rochefort of Garden, Brent (Sandy) Rochefort of Manistique and Brian (Shaunna) Rochefort of Garden; and her sisters, Diane (Jerry) Jyrkila of Manistique and Debbie (Jerry) Sitkoski of Fayette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Adam.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm, at the funeral home, with Reverend Father Ben Paris officiating.
