Robert O. Pepper

1911-2005

Robert O. Pepper, 93, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at a local health-care center.

Robert was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Thornton, Iowa. He had lived most of his life in Colorado Springs, Colo., moving to St. Joseph two years ago.

Robert served in the Navy during World War II.He then worked as a journeyman electrician for Whitney Electric in Colorado Springs until his retirement.

He was a member of IBEW Union. He was also a long-standing member of Colorado Springs Eagles Lodge, No. 143, where he had served as a past trustee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolla and Stella (James) Pepper; first wife, Bernice (Schubarth) Pepperin 1992; second wife, Amanda (Eldred) Pepper in 1997; his son, Robert O. Pepper, Jr.;his daughter, Alice Ager-Cordova; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his daughter, Carole Eulinger, St. Joseph, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pepper has been cremated under the direction of the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. There will be no visitation or services at the chapel. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Colorado Springs. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Robert is my 2nd cousin 1x removed. I am not sure if family members are in possession of his cremains or if a burial of the cremains took place.
