Mrs. Effie L. McElyea, 71, of 4010 Nebraska ave., died at her home yesterday of a heart ailment.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Cosmopolitan funeral home, 2505 West End ave. The Rev. W. C. Chesmon will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
Mrs. McElyea was born in Davidson county. She was a daughter of Berry and Margaret Fairclough Ellis.
She came to Nashville in 1901 after marrying Henry H. McElyea, who survives.
Mrs. McElyea was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist church.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eva Stevens, Miami, Fla.; a son Virgil W. McElyea of Nashville; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Boyd, Fountain Inn, S. C.; and a brother, Weaver Ellis, Shawnee, Okla.
