She retired from the old South Central Bell, a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a former member of the Gold Card Club and the Beechmont Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert B. Allen, and her sister, C. Lucille Tabeling.
She is survived by her three brothers and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6105 S. Third St., with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday .
