Ruth E. Lowe, 92, of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born June 9th, 1925 in Tomah, WI to Emma (Richards) and Loyd Robertson, she was raised in Tomah where she attended school.
Ruth married Harold W. Lowe in Whitehall, WI in 1942. She was known for working hard her entire life at places like Libby’s Canning Factory, Wagner’s 66½ Bowling Lanes, and Presto as well as going on to owning and operating a residential cleaning service. Ruth was an active member of Lake Street United Methodist Church where she helped in the kitchen as well as Bible School. Ruth enjoyed traveling, camping, baking and more than anything else she loved spending time with her family often treating visitors with fresh baked cookies and homemade doughnuts. Ruth had a smile and laugh that was contagious, to say the least, her arms full of children from the 4 generations beyond hers that she was an active part in. Ruth’s love and warmth will be forever missed.
Survivors include her five children: Connie Stetzer of Madison, Harry (JaNan) Lowe of Eau Claire, John Lowe of Eau Claire, Linda Sunde of Eau Claire, and Dorothy (Arvid) Jereczek of Eau Claire, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and all of her siblings: George, Harold, Lloyd, Richard, Burton, Alva Robertson, Dorothy Walinski, Laura Wiederhorn, and Shirley Evans. Son in law Steven Stetzer, Step Daughters Donna Krienke and Bonnie Kelly.
Funeral services will take place at 12 pm (noon) on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Rev. Rick Brown will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow the funeral service from 1 pm to 2:45 pm. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service. Graveside burial will take place at 3:15 pm in the Osseo Cemetery in Osseo, Wisconsin.
