Valerie Annette Burton, 52, of Alpena passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Valerie Levren was born on January 1, 1965, in Alpena to Donald and Peggy (Kramer) Levren. On February 4, 2017, she married Scott Burton. She worked at 88th District Court for 25 years, retiring in 2017. Valerie enjoyed doing crafts. Val could always be seen at her boys’ hockey and baseball games.

Surviving are her husband, Scott; 2 sons, Aaron Kwiatkowski, Jared Kwiatkowski; 2 step children, Danielle (Michael) Dubie, Bradley Burton; 2 step grandchildren, Wyatt, Madison; parents, Don and Peggy Levren; sister, Vicki (David) Goodburne; brother, Steven (Kathlene) Levren; Godmother, Nancy Pinet; and her beloved dog, Squirt.

Visitation will be at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 – 8 p.m. and continue Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brad Matuzak officiating.
