Don was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan and rarely, if ever, missed a game, and he loved a good game of pinochle. Don also loved car racing and cars and was a mechanic by profession so he was able to do something he loved every day. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Loved celebrating their achievements and successes. His entire family was very important to him and he had lifelong friendships with his siblings whom he loved dearly. He was loved by many, both family and friends, and his passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved him but we are grateful he is at peace and together with his beloved wife Cindy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donald’s name to the Humane Society Calumet Area." (Kish Funeral Home Cremation Services online)
