Tina Louise Adkins Russell, 54, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 at the Ross Heart Center at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Tina was born on November 24th, 1961 in Point Pleasant, WV. She was the daughter of Oliver W. Adkins “Ollie” and the late Lula Mae “Dudy” Burns Adkins.

Tina graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1980 and continued a close relationship with her GAHS, Class of 1980 Family. She worked alongside her family at Adkins Auto Sales and had the privilege to work with her mother at the Gallipolis Auto Auction. She continued her career and devoted many years to the development of children as an educational aide at Guiding Hand School primarily focusing on children with special needs. She was hired by Gallia County Local Schools in 2015 and continued her devotion to the Preschool Program at Addaville Elementary.
She was a member of the Shriner’s Hillbilly Clan No. 7 along with her husband and two daughters.

Tina married the love of her high school years, David Russell, September 5th, 1981. They were blessed with two daughters in 1985 and 1988. They took over the family farm in the early 1990’s. Tina, David and their daughters enjoyed raising angus cattle and raising 4-H projects.
Tina enjoyed watching Ohio State football, riding the Harley, biking, the beach and spending as much time as she could with her family and friends. Her five grandchildren fulfilled her every dream and she smiled upon seeing them. They filled her heart full of love. She always said goodbye to them with, “I Love You to the Moon and Back!”
Surviving are Tina’s husband and best friend, David, of 35 years; daughter Sarah (Kyle) Deel of Vinton; Andrea (Jason) Jarvis of Lancaster; Her dearly loved father Oliver “Ollie” Adkins; mother-in-law, Barbara Russell; cherished grandchildren, Logan, Lane, and Lucy Mae Deel of Vinton and Holden and Hudson Jarvis of Lancaster; Sister-in laws Lisa Reuter and Kim Adkins; close family friend, Bryan Gill; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Adkins, Christopher Adkins, Kari Anderson, Tyler Adkins, Jeffrey Reuter, Kelsey Reuter and Courtney (Britt) Wiseman; and several great nieces and nephews. Tina also leaves many close friends that have been so special to her and her family.

In addition to her loving mother, Lula Mae “Dudy” Adkins, Tina was preceded in death by her two older brothers, Randy and Ron Adkins; father-in-law, Wayne Russell; and brother-in-law’s, Mark Russell and Scott Reuter.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8th, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Rio Grande, Ohio. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Deel, Jason Jarvis, Christopher Adkins, Tyler Adkins, Jeffrey Reuter, J.D. Taylor, Craig Richards, Brian Roush and Bryan Gill. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Logan, Lane, Holden, Lucy and Hudson.
