Randall Lee King, 85, of Troy died Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services for Mr. King will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at New Ebenezer Church near Troy, with the Rev. Mitch Boulton, Dr. Vann Kissell and Bobby Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy.
Pallbearers will be O’Neil Baker, Tom King, Brian Petty, Richard Petty, Stanley Preuett, Travis Preuett and Tim Smith.
Randall was born March 11, 1932 in Troy, the son of the late Jasper and Lexie King. He married Joyce (Cunningham) King on December 25, 1953. He was a farmer who loved farming and observing God’s nature. He was a member of New Ebenezer Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy, where he was an elder and Sunday school superintendent. He enjoyed singing in the choir, spending time with family and friends and playing Rook with the boys at Glen’s Service Station in Troy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jill King of Union City; two sisters, Rachel Alexander of Michigan and Betty Fitz of Troy; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Laverne Long, Sue Gallihaire and Beatrice Davis; and four brothers, Wayne King, Bill King, Jimmy King and Joe King.
