BERNARD "Benny" EDWARD SZYMANSKI, age 79, entered eternal life on Monday, June 19, 2017 in Cypress, Texas.  He was born December 19, 1937 in Houston, Texas.  Benny is preceded in death by his parents Martin T. and Valentina Murski Szymanski. Brothers Teddy "Putt" and Martin "Junior" Szymanski; sisters Gertrude Snow.  Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Anne Morello Szymanski; children Deborah Slagle and husband Shawn, Mark Szymanski and Leslie Brooks, Jeff Szymanski and wife Karin; grandchildren Michael Zdunkawicz, Jr., Shelby Szymanski, Dalton Szymanski, Clayton Szymanski; sisters Barbara Macejewski, Dorothy Graziani; brother-in-law Pete Morello and Sandra.  Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends by whom he was blessed.  He worked in the oil & gas industry for many years as a welder/foreman.  He was a charter member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.  He loved hunting, fishing, Houston sports and gardening and known by many as "Tomato Man" for his tasty "Home Grown" tomatoes.  Visitation will be at Klein Funeral Home Cy-Fair, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Sunday, June 25, 2017, 5:00-8:00pm with rosary at 7:00pm.  Funeral Services will be at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Rd., Houston, Monday, June 26, 2017, 10:30am.  Committal services following at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd., Houston, 2:00pm.
