Gary W. Sherman, passed this life on Friday, June 16, 2017 in Broken Arrow, at the age of 69. He was born in Circleville, Ohio on June 14, 1948 to Lee and Lily Sherman. Gary spent his childhood in Circleville, Ohio and moved to Broken Arrow in 1964. He joined the Navy reserves a year before graduating from Broken Arrow High School in 1966. Soon following graduation Gary enlisted in the Navy on November 11, 1966. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was honorably discharged October 1968. Among his years in the service, Gary received several medals, including the Bronze Star. After his military service ,he started a business with his brother. known as S&W Heating & Air, for six years. Gary also, owned Sherman Construction involving industrial piping, in the oil and gas industry. Lastly, he began the Sherman Plumbing Company, until he retired. Gary truly enjoyed riding with his wife on their Harley Davidson trikes. Gary is preceded in death by his father, Lee Sherman, his daughter, Angie Ladner, and one brother in law, Billy Dobbs. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements and cremation were under the care of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory, Wagoner, OK.
