Jamie Lamont Rogers Jr., 16, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 14, 2017. He was born March 30, 2001 in Rockford, IL the son of Thomascine Brown and Jamie L. Rogers Sr. He attended Living Faith Tabernacle. Jamie had a strong passion for basketball. He played 4 years with the Rock River Valley YMCA. He played football 1 year fo the Jefferson J-Hawks. He attended various bible camps. Jamie was a member of Bethesda Youth Group and , Stateline YSC Campus Life . He completed his Sophomore year at Jefferson High School. He was last employed by Park Players with Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries. Jamie had a big heart and a great love for all people.
Jamie leaves to cherish many loving memories, his parents; brothers, Floydell Brown and Jamel Rogers both of Rockford and Dayshawnn Rogers of Aurora, Arizona; sisters, Shari Rogers, Monisha Rogers and Jamylia Clark all of Rockford, two nephews Elijah Walker and Amir Price; maternal grandmother, Sadie L.
