Jamie Lamont Rogers Jr., 16, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 14, 2017. He was born March 30, 2001 in Rockford, IL the son of Thomascine Brown and Jamie L. Rogers Sr. He attended Living Faith Tabernacle. Jamie had a strong passion for basketball. He played 4 years with the Rock River Valley YMCA. He played football 1 year fo the Jefferson J-Hawks. He attended various bible camps. Jamie was a member of Bethesda Youth Group and , Stateline YSC Campus Life . He completed his Sophomore year at Jefferson High School. He was last employed by Park Players with Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries. Jamie had a big heart and a great love for all people.

Jamie leaves to cherish many loving memories, his parents; brothers, Floydell Brown and Jamel Rogers both of Rockford and Dayshawnn Rogers of Aurora, Arizona; sisters, Shari Rogers, Monisha Rogers and Jamylia Clark all of Rockford, two nephews Elijah Walker and Amir Price; maternal grandmother, Sadie L. Brown of Rockford; paternal grandmother, Mae Jackson of Forrest City, Arkansas; maternal grandfather, Thomas Ferguson; god parents, Apostle Elmer D. and Pastor Ruby Martin; Great aunt, Lena Bailey; aunts, Teresa, Veronica, Colleen Brown and Tonya, Tammy and Ernestine Rogers all of Rockford; uncles Alvin, Ronnie and Terry (Tammy) Brown and Victor King all of Rockford, Kenneth Ferguson of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie (Sonya) Rogers Jr., Chico (Shonda) Rogers and Tywan Rogers all of Rockford, Carlos (Michelle0 Rogers of Jonesboro, AR, Albert (Raja) Rogers, Marquette Rogers and David Perkins of Forrest City AR and Jimmie Rogers of Oklahoma a host of other relatives and associates.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Jimmie Rogers Sr. and cousin Anthony Jefferson.

Services were held Friday, June 23, 2017 at Living Faith Tabernacle 530 8th Street.

Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
