Daughter of Butler and Lena Mae Collins Ammons. Myrtle married (1) Robert Lee Johnson, and (2) Lloyd Lannue Martin.

Mrs. Myrtle Ammons Johnson Martin, 93, of Rains, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Hospice Center of Mt. Pleasant after an illness.

Mrs. Martin was born September 2, 1923 in Marion County, a daughter to the late Butler Ammons and the late Lena Ammons Lane. She had retired from Herbert Mills as a Supervisor. She was a member of Ariel Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Martin are a daughter, Joyce J. Floyd of Spartanburg; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Martin also had five sisters and 2 brothers.

Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her first husband, Robert L. Johnson; her second husband, Lloyd L. Martin, and a daughter, Sylvia J. Bullard.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, June 23 in the Sanctuary of Ariel Baptist Church, with Rev. Darrell Floyd and Rev. Paul Wall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the services.
