Katherine "Kay" Butler, 93, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, retired Army Maj. John J. Butler, who succumbed to ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in 1985.
She is survived by her nine children and their spouses: John and Rose Butler, Michael and Terri Butler, Mark and Kathleen Butler, Joan and Bruce Smith, James and Luisa Butler, David and Beth Butler, Susan and Dean Hawkins, Terence and Camille Butler and Christopher and Bernice Butler; 35 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Kay is also survived by niece Nancy Slagg, nephew William Butler and nephew Jack Butler and wife Lynn, all of Illinois.
