Virginia I. (Spruegel) Ryan, age 86, of Burlington, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on June 16, 2017.

Virginia was the beloved mother of Vicki (Ryan) Courtemanche & husband Norman of Dracut, Ronald Ryan of Kingston, NH, Richard Ryan & wife Pearl of Brandon, FL, Judith (Ryan) Gourdeau & husband Ray of Salem, NH and Russell Ryan & wife Patricia of Wilmington. Loving "Nani" of Ryan, Adam and Taryn Porter, Jason, Dustin, Matthew, Andrew, Dylan and Dayna Ryan, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Cherished daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Hummel) Spruegel, dear sister of Dr. Richard Carter of Seattle, WA. Virginia is also survived by several cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, June 24th for Visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. concluding with a Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Tewksbury Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
