Mary Katherine (Ambler) Henkel passed away on June 19, 2017. She was born November 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Walter Donald, Sr. and Elizabeth Inez Shields Ambler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Adair Henkel; great grandson, Jackson Henkel; and a sister, Alice (Carr) Clemmer.
Survivors include her husband, Walton Mitchell Henkel; children, Donald Henkel (Darlene) of Stuarts Draft, Barbara Einecker (Don) of Austin, TX, Sarah Ferguson (Tommy) of Afton, Angela Mace (Don) of Stuarts Draft; siblings, Helen Souder of CT, Sarah Francis Ralston of Staunton, Walter Donald (W.D.) Ambler, Jr. (Janice Ramsey) of Staunton and Ernest H. Ambler, Sr. (Faye) of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Carr officiating.
