Jennie's father, James Henry Huber, left a will, in Bullitt Co., KY, dated 24 Feb 1894. He leaves the bulk of his estate to his wife, Henrietta Douglas Huber. Mentioned are pieces of property in Bullitt Co., KY, Van Grundy Co., TX and Villa Rica, Carroll Co., GA. Also mentioned is 1/2 lot in Cave Hill Cemetery. The other 1/2 is owned by his sister-in-law, Susan A. Huber, the widow of J. Fred Huber.

He states that he has one child under age - Jennie Hall Huber who was "borne of my present wife. Said child is now 19 years of age who by reason of an accident which befell her in her early infancy, owing to the carelessness of her nurse, has all her life ever since that event an invalid and helpless to care for herself. It is my will and desire that her mother shall be her guardian without interevention of the courts and without having to account in any matter whatsoever in this connection.

I desire to record my most sincere thanks to her aunt - my sister-in-law, Miss Mary E. Cassady for her unwavering devotion for the last 18 years of her life to the said my invalid daughter, besides to thank her for her goodness and kindness to me as a sister. I know it will be a pleasure to my wife and children to care for her and provide for her as long as she shall live."

James leaves $500 to his granddaughter, Etta Clara Huber, daughter of his deceased daughter, Bertha Cassaday (sic) and $500 to his grandson, Leo Logan Lewis, son of his deceased daughter, Abba.

James appoints his wife, Henrietta, and her brother, Samuel Casseday, as executors.
