Leslie H. "Les or Bubby" Collier, Jr. passed away from respiratory failure December 10, 2012 in Lakeland.
Born September 2, 1931 in Lakeland, Mr. Collier was the son of the late Leslie H. and Ethel (Kersey) Collier. Mr. Collier worked as a Plant Operator for U.S. Agri-Chem. for 30 years and also worked for the Polk County Environment Services for 15 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Collier is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy H. Collier, two daughters: Claudette (Michael), Karen Dorman (Ron), a son David M. Collier (Becky), a sister Patricia C. English, five grandchildren: Rachael Hess, Katie Collier, Lindsey Dorman, Kelly Dorman, Taylor Dorman, and four great grandchildren: Makayla Wilbur, Alexis Hess, Kiyah Alexander, and Kaylin Bortz.
Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, where the family will receive friends Saturday, December 15th from 10-11AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home chapel.
