Mary R. Payne, 90, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by parents, William J. and Mattie Quinn Robertson.
She is survived by her husband, James W. Payne; son, Richard Payne; daughters, Gloria Carter and husband, Taylor, Rita Mason, and Kathy Webber; grandchildren, Kevin Carter and wife, Kim and Heather Hartberger; great- grandchildren, Kaleb Carter, Kollin Carter, Kasi Abell and Tyler Oliver; brother, James Robertson; and sister, Juanita G. Smith and husband, Bill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with Rev. Bryan Ratliff, Rev. Olander English and Rev. Eddie Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m on Thursday and Friday, June 22 and 23, 2017 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clearbrook Baptist Church or the Vinton Rescue Squad.
