He married Pansy Pearl Brooks on October 13, 1942. Bob joined the United States Army in 1942. He was station in Germany during WWII and his tour of duty included fighting in the front lines in the Battle of the Bugle and servicing the Mag 24 vehicle that General Dwight D. Eisenhower used for transportation.
Bob worked for Salina Tractor company, Sellers Tractor Company, Doughtery Implement, Gunnels Tractor Company and Dechert Implement until he retired in 1979.
Bob is survived by his wife and his 13 children. Fifty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brother and 2 sisters, 2 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
