Charlie L. Pierson
81, passed away June 13, 2017. Born in Indianapolis he was the son of Chester Sr. and Rosetta (Officer) Pierson. After receiving his formal education he was employed as a respiratory therapist at Methodist Hospital and after many years of service there he retired. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. His memberships included Knights of St. Peter Claver and the Tuskeegee Airman National Organization. He served in the Airforce branch of the Military and was honorably discharged.
He is survived by his wife Beatrice P. Pierson; sons; Anthony R. (Brenda) Coleman, Peter M. Pierson, Maurice D. Sr. (Pamela), Marcus J. (Rhonda) and Rubin B Jr. McCoy; daughters; Ida M. (Dennis) Johnson, Elaine R. (Joe) Berger, Lisa Joy (Darrell) Miller, Agnes L. Pierson and Monica R. Richardson; sister, Alice Howard, 24 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Services will be held TODAY, June 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Cathedral with calling from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home. www.bluittandson.com
