A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and graduate of the Industrial Institute of Electronics, Mr. Bryant was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church and retired from Hassens Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary Wilson Bryant; children, James Bryant (Cheryl) of Cowpens, SC, Kaye Allen (Kit) of Lexington, NC, Debbie George of New Port Richey, FL; son-in-law, Vance Oxendine of Clemmons, NC; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, JoAnne Oxendine.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Casey Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Casey Creek Baptist Church, by Dr. Jerry White, the Rev. Todd Lyda, and Mr. Matthew Bryant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
