Frances L. Werner, 77, of Avon formerly of Reynolds passed away at 9:20 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Avon Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on June 27, 1939 in Humboldt, Illinois to the late Clarence and Evelyn (Purdum) Hovis. On October 14, 1961 in Indianapolis, she married David Werner and he preceded her in death April 12, 1993.

She was the co-owner of Dave's Plumbing formerly of Reynolds. Prior to her husband's death she was primarily a homemaker and did the books for the business. After Dave passed away she moved from the White County area and spent time living closer to her siblings, living in Georgia, Texas, and Mississippi before moving back to White County. She then moved to Danville 12 years ago when her grandson, Sawyer was born. She loved babies and being a mother. She cherished time spent with her family.

She enjoyed traveling, art, and playing cards. She loved flower gardening and was skilled at growing African Violets.

She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church at Reynolds.

She is survived by her children, David (Laurie) Werner, Jeffrey (Shannon) Werner and Beth Lykins (Chad); sister, Joan Hines; brothers, Kenneth and Fred Hovis and five grandchildren.
