Timothy James Knight, 62, of Wareham, died June 12, 2017, peacefully in his home after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (St. Jacques) Knight and the son of Carol E.(Crampton) Knight and the late Henry H. Knight.

Timothy spent his entire career in the building industry before founding TJK Contracting Co. in 1994 where he designed and built custom homes in and around the Wareham area.

Timmy was known for his vibrant personality and his outrageous stories.  He was a loving husband and dedicated father and grandfather.  Born in Wareham on August 24th, 1954, Timmy graduated from Wareham High School where he was the captain of the hockey team and then continued on to graduate from Bristol Community College. In his youth, he enjoyed playing and coaching competitive recreational sports teams with his friends.  Timmy was a talented painter, and he enjoyed golfing and watching his Boston sports teams. He loved to go hunting with his family.

Survivors include his wife; his two daughters and their husbands, Kelly and Kevin Churbuck and Angie and Mike Laperriere; his grandson Jonathan Churbuck and soon-to-be-born second grandson;  his mother; his step mother, Elaine Knight; four brothers and their wives, Henry Knight, Jr. and Janet Knight, Stephen Knight, Daniel and Marjorie Knight and Kenneth and Patricia Knight, all of Wareham; his sister and her husband, Carol-Ann and James Silvia of Carver; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Roberta and Jeffrey Raymond of Trenton, ME, Raymond St. Jacques, David St. Jacques, Lisa and Dan Healy, all of Wareham, Robert and Janet Braman of Marion, and Deanna Braman of Florida; many nephews and nieces; countless close family friends.

His funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 11 Constitution Way, Rochester. Burial will follow in Rochester Center Cemetery. 

Visiting hours are at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham MA.
