She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene T. Brooks Sr.; siblings, Jack, Mary Lois, Arthur James Robbins, LouJean Robbins Birch.
She grew up in Sun, Fayette County, where she attended Mt. Hope High School. She worked at True Temper until 1982. She loved the Lord and enjoyed moments of fellowship with her church family at Rand Bethel Church.
She is survived by her children, Gene T. Brooks Jr. (Frances) and Vicky Charley (Jim), Cross Lanes, Stephen Brooks, Philadelphia, Curtis Brooks, Rand, Norris Brooks, Dunbar, and Joseph Brooks, Rand; grandchildren, Bernardo Brooks, Kristy Baxter, Natasha Brooks, Tori and Ryan Charley, Elijah Chance, Brandon Brothers, Joseph Brooks Jr., Daimeyon Smith and Jonathan Alexander; sister-in-law, Gloria Glee, Bridgeport, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Service at noon, Saturday, January 14, at Levi First Baptist, Rand. Visitation at 11 a.m.
