His family moved to Lubbock when he was 15; there he met and married the love of his life Debra K. Mooring. To this union seven children were born Craig, Kenneth, Kenneth Jr., Kevin, Temora, Freddrick and Tenora. He also had two children with Kathy Sullivan Simona and Corey. He later moved to Monahans in July of 1979, where he worked at Curry's Inspection for two years until he became ill. He returned to Lubbock in 1981 to be closer to his family.
Kenneth was a friend to many and would give you the shirt off his back. He knew and loved the Lord wholeheartedly. He would preach the gospel to anyone he came across. He kept us laughing and always had a smile on his face. He loved his wife, we can still hear him saying "that's my wife", children, grandchildren and family dearly.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Rubben Huey; stepfather David "Butterball" Hightower; sister, Kathryn Huey Newton; son, Kenneth Earl Mooring and great granddaughter, Promise Wagner.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Debra K. Huey; his mother, Linda Hightower; five sons: Craig Mooring, Kenneth Huey Jr. (Charisse), Kevin Huey, Freddrick Huey, and Corey Sullivan; three daughters: Temora Huey ( Aaron Sr.), Tenora Huey-Hobby (Gary), and Simona Johnson; brother, Roland Huey ( Yvette); two sisters, Alicia Hays (Wayne), D'Juana Johnson; 46 grandchildren' 6 great grandchildren.
