Helen Faye Davis, 84 beloved mother, mammaw and great-mammaw, passed away June 13, 2017.
Pallbearers are Olif John Stricklin, Justin Whittenburg, John and Jay Davis, Steven Dollins, Charlie Davis Jr. and Robert Higgins.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Wayne Davis Jr. and George Davis.
Helen was born July 13, 1932, in Muleshoe, Texas, to Forest and Grace Griffin.
Mother was a member of the Church of God in Mineral Wells. She instilled her love for Christ in all her children and grandchildren. She was not only beautiful inside and out but talented in musical instruments as well. She loved her country music and gospel songs, and she loved to fish. She had a successful career in nursing for over 25 years.
She will be greatly missed and our hearts will take a long time to heal but she is with our Lord and Savior and that gives us such joy and peace.
Survivors include her daughters, Jo and husband, Tommy, of Bridgeport, Texas; Sherry Copeland and husband, Mike, of Mineral Wells, and Gale Payne and husband, Steven, of Fort Worth; sons, Gary Davis and wife, Pam, of Mineral Wells, and Charlie Davis and wife, Thelma, of Mineral Wells; brothers, Wesley Aubrey Griffin and wife, Barbara, and Billy Griffin and wife, Cynthia; sister, Jaynell Flournoy and husband, Albert; and brother-in-law, Jimmie Davis; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, George (Newt) Davis; daughters, Georgia Whittenburg and Gwen Dollins; brothers, A.D. Griffin and Hollis Griffin; and sister, Jeleta Griffin.
