Mrs. Mary J. (Jennie) Brizette, widow of Eli Brizette, passed away at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Age 87 years. Mary J. Gonyea was born June 4, 1867, in Zilwaukee. In 1917, she was married to Mr. Brizette in Detroit. She moved to Saginaw from Detroit in 1941. The deceased was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, and its Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella, and League of Catholic Women. Survivng are a nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Lynch, with whom she made her home; several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the McIntyre Chapel, 10:30 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Anthony Bourdow, of Manistee, a nephew of the deceased, will officiate, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Friday, where they will meet at 8 p.m. Friday to recite the Rosary.
