Pauline J. Nicholson, 78, of Woodstock, VA at the request of her Lord and Savior has relocated to heaven on Wednesday, June 15, 2017.

She was born in Coatesville, PA on July 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Ann and Paul Nemila.

She lived the early part of her life in the Coatesville area and in Atglen, PA. She moved to Toms Brook, VA in 1975 where she lived until her husband retired, and in 1999 they moved Albemarle, NC where she resided for almost 18 years. Then in March of 2017, she moved to Woodstock, VA to be closer to her family.

Throughout her life, her first and foremost love was for her family. She was the heart and center of the welcoming and nurturing home she was determined to create for her children and their friends. She was a mother of eight (seven daughters and one son) and also a foster mother to many others. She devoted her life to her family and church. She was an active and long term member of Atglen Baptist Church in PA and Liberty Baptist Church in Strasburg, VA. She had a strong relationship with her Lord and Savior and guided her children and grandchildren in the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, cooking, flower gardening, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison E. Nicholson Sr., her daughter, Susanna Nicholson, and a great granddaughter, Lylah Stickles. Survivors include her daughters; Maryann Bowman and her husband Dale of Houston, Texas, Nancy Grim of Mt. Jackson, Vanessa Menn and her husband Mike of Mobile, Al, Wanda Preston of Edinburg, VA, Pauline (Dolly) Stickles and her husband Mike of Fredericksburg, VA, Virginia (Ginny) Palmer of Franklin, NC. Her son, Harrison Nicholson Jr. of Woodstock, VA. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 9 great-grand children and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters, Julia Van Dyke of Pomery, Pa, Mary Allison, of Coatesville, PA and Nancy Fuchs of Coatesville, PA.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, June 23, at 2:00 pm. at the Jennersville Church of the Brethren, West Grove, PA. Followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville, PA. The service will be conducted by her grandson, Pastor Cory Stickles of Madison, MS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 29110 Old Valley Pike, Strasburg, VA 22657.
