Charles B. Allen, PhD, 61, of Liberty City, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, June 16, 2017.
He was born April 22, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Reverend Byron and Alice Allen. He attended Kilgore Public Elementary Schools and was a 1974 graduate of Channelview High School. Charles earned his baccalaureate degree from East Texas Baptist College, now ETBU and his masters and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Dr. Allen was an ordained minister who spent most of his career as a church administrator and Christian educator, serving Southern Baptist Churches in Arkansas and Texas. Charles loved sports, particularly the Arkansas Razorbacks. He enjoyed camping, reading and playing golf.
Dr. Allen was preceded in death by his mother Alice Morrow Allen.
