Baptism records list his parents as Peter & Elizabeth Koechlein.

He married Anna Maria Saylor on Feb. 18, 1864. They had the following children, Alice, Harry, Anna, John & Jacob all linked to this memorial.

Aaron, his wife, Anna Maria, children, Harry, John & Annie "Kichline" Osmun are buried in this section in unmarked graves according to cemetery records. His daughter, Annie's husband, Abraham Osmun, their son, Paul and daughter, Margaret Osmun are buried in the Kichline plot. The only one with a gravestone is Margaret Osmun, the small stone on the right side of the photo.

**Update** In October 2017, a military stone was placed on Aaron's grave. Dave & Charlotte Morris with the help of a local funeral director applied for a Civil War headstone. The application was approved and after 96 years, Aaron finally has a headstone.**

Civil War Veteran of Co. C, 31st Regiment of New Jersey as a private. The 31st were organized in Flemington N.J. and mustered in September 16, 1862 and mustered out June 24, 1863. This company fought in the Battle of Chancellorsville, Va. from May 2-5 and mustered out of their 9 month enlistment before the battle of Gettysburg.

Aaron Kichline applied for a pension April 25, 1887 and is listed under Aaron Keichline in the National Park Services website of soldier details in the Civil War.

Easton Express Obituary 12.27.1921, Page 4:

Aaron Kichline, a veteran of the Civil War, and for many years a resident of Phillipsburg where he had many friends and acquaintances, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice Paff(should be Poff), 148 Apricot Street, of a complication of ailments. He was 84 years of age. Mr. Kichline is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Annie Osborn(should be Osmun), of Phillipsburg. For a number of years Mr. Kichline was a member of J.G. Tolmie Post. G.A.R., that recently disbanded.

Easton Express Funeral Notice 12.30.1921, Page 8:

The funeral of Aaron Kichline, who died several days ago at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice Paff(Poff), 148 Apricot Street, was held at 2:30 this afternoon from P.F. Hagerty undertaking parlors, South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Services were conducted by Rev. D.S. Hafer, pastor of St. James Lutheran(Straw)Church and burial was made in Straw Church cemetery. Friends were pallbearers.
