Rose H. Watson, age 93, of Marinette, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 9, 2017, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI with her family by her side. She was born January 4, 1924 in McAllister to Arthur and Virginia (Delfosse) Dietrich.

Her early years were spent in the McAllister area where she attended the Wagner School.

On August 23, 1941, she married Raymond T. Watson and resided in the Wagner and Porterfield areas for most of her life.
She was a devoted homemaker for her husband and family and also cooked at the McAllister School and at logging camp. She was known for her cooking and baking and especially loved gardening and canning. Rose truly enjoyed spending time and visiting with her family throughout the years. She had a great memory and as her family grew she stayed updated on what all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were up to.
In her later years she enjoyed playing games and working puzzles with her friends at Northland Village.

Rose is survived by four children: James (Darlene) Watson of Abrams,WI; Teri (Mark) Standiford of Porterfield, WI; Debra (Tom) Holterman of Marinette, WI and Bob (Linda) Watson of Porterfield, WI;
eleven grandchildren: Vicki (Trevor) Vannieunhoven, Tracy (Kevin) Tachick, Crystal (Scott) Sprecher, Jennifer (friend, John) Moser, Anne (Brian) Janecek, Sarah Heffner, Jed Holterman, Becky (Eric) Gjesdahl, Bobby (Lindy) Watson, Travis (Jessica) Watson and Brandy (Tom) Burke;
eighteen great-grandchildren;
a brother James (Beatrice) Dietrich of McAllister, WI;
and a sister-in-law Jane Watson Jerosivek of Marinette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 2001; three brothers: Albert, Herman and Harold Dietrich; and three sisters, Dorothy Wery, Theresa Ebsch and Bertha Caylor.

Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Paul Hueter officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens
