Lynn Lewis of Covington, passed away June 16, 2017 at 62 years of age. Before retiring from the Rockdale County School System, Lynn worked at Sims Elementary for 10 years. Growing up, she was a member of Covington Presbyterian Church and since 1993, was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Lynn took pleasure in reading, traveling, and crocheting. She also volunteered her time to the Relay for Life of Newton County, and was nominated to serve as Honorary Chair in 2015. A devoted military wife for many years, Lynn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaymie Lynn Lewis; and parents, James Clinton and Barbara Ann (Blasingame) Corry.Survivors include her loving husband, Paul Lewis; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kelly Lewis; grandchildren, Brylie Lewis, Jaxson Lewis; and sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Al McCoy.
A Memorial Service for Lynn will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 1002 Bethany Road, in Covington, with Rev. Al Myers officiating.
