Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Pruitt and Rev. George Washington McCullough III officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Carlton was born on May 19, 1944, in Rockingham County, to James Franklin Perdue and Martha Lynn Perdue. He retired from the Reidsville Police Department after 30 years of service. He later worked for PRG Equipment and also farmed. He loved hunting, fishing and watching westerns. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Perdue.
Survivors include his son, James Michael Perdue(Diana); companion and caregiver, Mrs. Bobbi Renn; his mother, Martha Sue Perdue; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his sister Martha Jane Petty (Jack) his brother David Russell Perdue (Catherine), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
