Graveside services for Kathy Griffith, 61, of Huntington will be held June 19, 2017 in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffith was born January 8, 1956 in Fort Lejeune, North Carolina to the late Delores (Coats) and G.W. Akers, and died Friday, June 16, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Griffith had resided in Huntington for 40 years. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She liked camping while Robert hunted, and enjoyed sitting on the porch watching birds, being with her dog “Miss D”, and watching Robert work in the yard.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Griffith; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Chris Johnson; son, Shannon Golden; grandchildren, Jordan Golden, Skylor Matchett, Sydney Matchett, Cody Johnson, Caleb Johnson, and Derrick Kinney; sisters and brothers-in-law, Melody and Gary Wadell, Tandi and Jeff Garner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Skip and Patty Wood, Kenneth and Casey Akers, George and Lynn Akers; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
