Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Partridge May 10, 1945 – Jan. 25, 2005
Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Partridge 59, of Cowley, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer.

Jerry was born May 10, 1945 in Hannah, to Fenton and Algie Partridge. He graduated in 1963 from Cowley High School- excelling in football. He married in 1964 and had three sons, Trevor, Brett and Spencer.

He ran his own trucking business for more than 25 years. He also did a lot of road construction and long haul travel across the United States. When a load needed to be delivered, Jerry was the man to call to get it there on time.

Also close to Jerry's heart was the love of the land and raising cattle as he often regretted not taking over his father's ranch.

He enjoyed teaching his sons about the great outdoors, the love of the land and appreciation for the beauty of Wyoming.

He married Lana Kay Mager in 1998, who was at his side with his sons when he died. He will be greatly missed and always remembered and loved. He had a lot of great friends through his life including Collin Stevens, his cousin, Bill Harston, Stan Benson, who started Jerry in the trucking business, and many others.

He is survived by his wife, Lana Kay; sons, Trevor (DeAnna) Partridge of Frannie, Brett (Lane) Partridge of Lovell, and Spencer Partridge of Rawlins; a stepson, Aaron Ranck; five grandchildren, Chase, Cassidi, Rhett, Nichole, and Clayton; and many nieces and nephews including Jodi (Donald) Meek of Beaumont, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fenton and Algie Partridge; brother Albert "Pat," Partridge and granddaughter, Carissa Partridge.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Cowley LDS Church. Interment was in the Cowley Cemetery.
