Julia E. (Tobey) Reynolds, 92, of Anderson, died June 14, 2017, at Providence Healthcare of Anderson after an extended illness.
Julia was born July 12, 1924, in Hartford City, the daughter of Omri and Alice V. (Sebring) Tobey.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and loved being a member of the altar guild for which she made a lot of vestments. She was very multi-talented including crocheting, embroidery, quilting, cards, baking and was a licensed taxidermist. She trained and showed dogs and published many articles in Dog World magazine.
Julia was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she proudly achieved five generations.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rita Rose Chapman of Cary, N.C., and Lynda (Edwin) Allen of Anderson; three grandchildren, Bryan (Mary) Allen of Hermitage, Pa., Michael (Trace) Chapman of Amelia, Ohio, and Tara L. (John) Kozlowski of Apex, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren, Christian Michael, Brandon Joel, Bethany Danielle, Joshua David, Samuel Joseph, Margaret Mary, Beatrice Rose and Levi Michael; great-great-grandson, Aiden Michael; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph "Skeet" Reynolds Jr., who died in 2007; two brothers, Richard Tobey and James Tobey; sister, Katherine Acorn; and two grandsons, Tony and Tim Allen.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Bishop William Smalley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Episcopal Church, Animal Protection League or Madison County Humane Society.
